THE MOUNTAIN BIKE HALL of FAME and MUSEUM SEEKS 2008 NOMINATIONS
Greetings from a very snowy Crested Butte, Colorado. At this rate we won't be riding trail #401 until August!
The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame and Museum is seeking nominations for the 2008 induction ballot. Nominees can be individuals or organizations who have made significant contributions to the sport of mountain biking on a national or international level. The Mountain Bike Hall of Fame does not find nominees for the ballot. We count on you to nominate deserving candidates. Please follow the guidelines below.
Nominations must be a minimum of 250 words. Include in the narrative, why you think this individual or group belongs in the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. We are asking for specific examples of their contributions. Tell us where and during what time frame they were active in the mountain biking scene. Currently, what is their involvement in mountain biking? You must include the nominee's current addresses, snail and e-mail, as well as a phone number so we can obtain complete biographical information about the candidate.
The six nomination categories are; Advocacy, Industry, Journalism, Pioneers, Promotion, and Racing History. The Hall of Fame asks that a nominee have substantial a history of 10 plus years as an active mountain biker.
Deadline for nominations is April 15th, 2008!
Most nominees from the 2007 ballot will automatically be placed on the 2008 ballot. Check out our web site mtnbikehalloffame.com and find out who they are. Click on the nominees section.
