NEW Learn to Cycle!   (Age 4+)

Wednesday 27 August 10:00 - 12:00

Wednesday 27 August 13:00 - 15:00

£5

After the high demand for these courses in July we have decided to run two more.

This course is aimed at children who use stabilisers or cannot yet ride.  Pedals (and stabilisers) will be removed from the bikes so that the children can learn to balance before they progress to pedalling.

Please bring a roadworthy bike.  Children must be accompanied by an adult and the adults may be asked to assist.

Please call 01524 582392/582086 or email celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk to book a place.

Closure of Green Lane: Alexandra Park - South Drive

Green Lane will be closed to all motor vehicle, cycle and pedestrian traffic from Tuesday 5th August until Friday 12th September, to allow work on creating the new cycle/footpath alongside a vehicle carriageway.

Vehicles will not be able to gain access to the main university campus from Alexandra Park. Diversion signs will re-direct all motor vehicles back on to the A6, to enter the university campus via its main entrance driveway.  Cyclists are able to use the existing marked cycleway around Alexandra Park and pedestrians will be directed through the Alexandra Park residences.

Stagecoach will not be operating a bus service around Alexandra Park during this period but will continue around South Drive and wait at the Pendle College/InfoLab bus stop. Vehicle access to Alexandra Park from the main campus perimeter road will not be affected. Vehicle access to the Lancaster House Hotel and Conference Centre from the A6 will also not be affected by these works. Future information and updates will be provided on the Estate Management web pages.
